Having heard of family members and friends who have had cancer can be a very emotional experience. For those who have not yet have these encounters, it is important to understand some basic information on cancer, and to clear up some confusion about cancer, in this article from Singapore Cancer Society.

In Short –
❌ Myth: Cancer = death sentence.
✅ Fact: Treatment advancements mean many cancers are beatable, especially with early detection! 💪

❌ Myth: Sugar feeds cancer.
✅ Fact: All cells use sugar, but cutting processed sugar is still a healthy choice. 🍎

❌ Myth: Cancer is contagious.
✅ Fact: Absolutely NOT! You can’t catch cancer from someone. ❌🦠

❌ Myth: Cancer is always genetic.
