单位信托，应该归属于哪一类资产类别？

投资单位信托，是时下很受上班族青睐的一项投资方式。不用花太多时间，有专业基金经理负责管理，定期回顾投资表现，并及时作出相应的策略调整。投资者只需要根据个人风险偏好，选择不同种类的基金，可以单笔投资，也可以定期定量投资。新加坡的各大券商平台，和人寿保险公司，都有众多的单位信托基金可供投资人选择。

那么，单位信托到底属不属于资产类别(Asset Class)中的一种？

要回答这个问题，必须得先来看看，什么是资产类别（Asset Class）？

资产类别(Asset Class)是指具有相似特征，并在市场上表现类似的资产种类。以下是资产类别的主要分类以及定义：

  • 股票（Equities）：公司所有权的股份。它们可以提供资本增值和股息。
  • 固定收益（Bonds）：向公司或政府提供的贷款，这些贷款在一段时间内支付利息并在到期时返还本金。
  • 现金及现金等价物（Cash and Cash Equivalents）：包括实物货币、银行账户、货币市场基金和短期政府债券。这些资产高度流动且风险较低。
  • 房地产（Real Estate）：如土地、住宅和商业建筑等实物资产。它可以提供租金收入和潜在的资本增值。
  • 商品（Commodities）：如黄金、白银、石油和农产品等实物商品。它们可以作为对抗通货膨胀的对冲工具。

  • 现金及现金等价物（Cash and Cash Equivalents）：最低风险，流动性高，但回报率低。
  • 固定收益（Bonds）：比现金等价物风险稍高，但仍相对稳定。政府债券的风险通常低于公司债券。
  • 房地产投资信托基金（REITs）：由于它们是交易所上市的证券，并且与房地产市场相关联，风险介于股票和债券之间。
  • 房地产（Real Estate）：物理财产的投资风险适中，但受到市场波动、位置和经济条件的影响较大。
  • 股票（Equities）：风险较高，价格波动大，长期回报潜力高。

这个排序是一个概括，具体投资的风险水平还取决于具体的投资工具和市场条件。

细心的朋友可能已经发现了，以上的资产类别分类中，并没有提到单位信托。

确实，单位信托，不属于以上任何一种单独的资产类别，严格来讲，它属于一种投资工具。

它可以是由单个，或者多个资产类别组合在一起的投资组合。单位信托基金通过集合投资计划，让投资者可以通过购买单位信托基金的单位，间接持有各种不同的资产类别，如股票、债券、房地产和其他资产类别。所以，结论是，单位信托是可以根据不同投资目标和投资策略，组合多种不同资产类别的，一种投资工具。
