How a Critical Illness claim help save a client’s retirement plan? How A Critical Illness Claim Helped Save My Client’s Retirement Planning!

In late 2023, I was shocked 😱 when a client informed me she’d suffered a stroke, just weeks after appearing healthy.

Her immediate concern was whether she had critical illness insurance and if she could make a claim.

Fortunately, she was covered and made a successful claim. Today, she’s partially recovered and is back to work, albeit at a lower pay. Because of the insurance payout, my client was still able to continue planning for retirement even though she comes from a humble background. She has since set up a savings plan through me to generate passive income.

From an article in Straits Times Forum page on 09 Dec 2022, the writer highlighted that it is essential to protect against financial setbacks caused by illness.

Perhaps we should ask ourselves these questions:

🤔 How would we want to spend our time when we are critically ill? Working actively or taking time off?

🤔 How much would be enough to support my lifestyle if I am critically ill?

🤔 Would I want to drain off my finances due to being critically ill when I retire?
