I’ve always been a numbers person. Maybe it’s my engineering training. That analytical side is what I bring to every decision, not just client portfolios, but how a practice should be built.
I started in insurance. Seventeen years learning what it takes to protect what people have worked for. But protection alone wasn’t enough. I wanted a platform with access to a wider range of products, across multiple channels, so I could build outcomes a single insurer’s shelf could never match.
That search led me to Financial Alliance in 2005. Twenty-one years later, I’m still here, now as Associate Director of Soul Wealthy Group, working alongside Kok Chin. But this partnership was never really about the two of us. It’s about the advisers who need an environment strong enough to grow in, backed by real structure, real mentoring, and a team that succeeds together, a full ecosystem behind every consultant, not a program you’re left to figure out alone.
I also came together with Kok Chin to build a coaching program for advisers within this ecosystem. That, too, was never about us. It’s about advisers who want a real breakthrough, not another motivational talk. Close to 40 years in this industry has shown me the same pattern again and again: good advisers plateau, not for lack of talent, but for lack of the right environment. It runs on a framework I built from watching it happen, C.O.R.E: Circle, Objective, Reach, Enough.
