Singapur und Deutschland haben eine von der beste Gesundheitspflege auf der Welt. Singapur hat sogar längere Lebenserwartung für Männer und Frauen aber Deutschland hat mehrere Ärzte je 1000 Einwohnern.

Überblick über die Krankenversicherung und Pflegepflichtversicherung

In Deutschland ist es pflicht eine Krankenversicherung einzuschließen für alle Einwohnern (GKV) und in Singapur gibt es nur eine pflichte Grundlegendekrankenversicherung (Medishield Life und Careshield Life) für ihre Bürger und die Inhabern/-inen einer Niederlassungerlaubnis. Als Expat muss man alles selbst plannen, dafür muss man alles auch gut verstehen.

Was sind meine Option als Expat in Singapur?

Als Expat hat man 4 Options

  1. Shield Plan for Foreigner (sogenannte “local health insurance”) plus Arbeitsunfähigkeitversicherung
    Die Leistungen sind gut und sinnvoll aber es gibt dazu nicht so viel Zusatzversicherungen. Es gibt nur 7 Anbieter und es ist deutlich billiger als eine private KV.
  2. Internationale Private Krankenversicherung
    Eine gute private KV hat viele Zusatzversicherungen. Es ist sehr flexible und beim manchen Anbieter ist es auch übertragbar zwischen Ländern ohne Gesundheitsprüfung.
  3. Lokale Private Krankenversicherung
    Die sind gleich mit einer Internationale Private Krankenversicherung nur dass sie nur in Singapur gültig. Viele kenne NICHT dass es auch eine private KV gibt die nur für lokale Behandlungen gültig.
  4. Eine Kombi von Option 1 & Option 2 oder Option 1 & Option 3

Was sind meine Option als Expat mit der Niederlassungserlaubnis in Singapur?

Als Expat mit einer Niederlassungserlaubnis hat man 4 Options

  1. Zusatzversicherungen für Ihre Medishield Life (Intergrated Shield Plan) und Careshield Life (Careshield Life Supplement)
    Die Leistungen sind gut und sinnvoll und teilweise auch mit Medisave bezahlbar. Es gibt nur 7 Anbieter und es ist deutlich billiger als eine private KV.
  2. Internationale Private Krankenversicherung
    Eine gute private KV hat viele Zusatzversicherungen. Es ist sehr flexible und beim manchen Anbieter ist es auch übertragbar zwischen Ländern ohne Gesundheitsprüfung.
  3. Lokale Private Krankenversicherung
    Die sind gleich mit einer Internationale Private Krankenversicherung nur dass sie nur in Singapur gültig. Viele kenne NICHT dass es auch eine private KV gibt die nur für lokale Behandlungen gültig.
