As a tied insurance agent then, I struggled with adding value to my clients.
Mainly did cold prospecting, for example cold calls, door knocks, and roadshows.
It was very pushy and salesy, and I thought it didn’t feel right to clients nor myself.
Dejected, I made the decision to leave the company & industry, to venture into different fields for different experiences.
I was glad to have this skill in this time and age where digitalisation is so prominent.
However it was not what I really want to do, so onto the next journey I go.
I brainstormed what my current skillsets and experience can propel me towards.
Insurance Sales + Digital Marketing, let’s dive back into this industry.
Was an above-average producer there and happy with my job.
Felt that I was value-adding clients by helping them exit their insurance policies with more cash.

Was shocked that I got selected, and the job prospects were much better than where I’m at currently.
My salary will be doubled if I join this program.
It was a no brainer, and there I went.
Sitting in the office 9 – 5, churning out dashboards, it didn’t feel like I was doing meaningful or purposeful work.
