什么事新加坡合格投资者？
在新加坡AI 不仅仅代表了人工智能的意思，另外一个含义是 “合格投资者”， 英文是 Accredited Investor (AI)
合格投资者（Accredited Investor）是新加坡资本市场投资者保护体系中的重要概念之一，

什么是合格投资者？

 
既然有合格投资者，是不是还有“不合格”投资者呢？不是这样的。
 
合格投资者，是指符合新加坡金融管理局（MAS）规定的要求，并主动申请完成资格认证的投资者。这个认证制度是基于对投资者的保护措施。
相对于专业投资者，零售投资者或者成为普通投资者是受到最高级别的保护，金融机构对他们卖的金融产品的风险要揭示得很清楚。但他们能投资的产品种类受到很严格的限制，以保护他们免受与这些产品相关的风险，包括私募股权、对冲基金等替代资产的风险。
 
这样设计的初衷是因为一般人可能缺乏足够的经验或资金来全面了解和应对所有的风险。
相反的，合格投资者、机构投资者和专家投资者的保护级别低一些，但能交易更多种类的金融产品。合格投资者通过评估已确定具备财务能力和专业知识。所以，他们可以比一般零售投资者更广泛地使用各种金融产品和服务。

如何认证成为合格的投资者呢？

 
需要符合新加坡金融管理局（MAS）所规定的条件并主动申请完成资格认证的投资者。简单来说，就是你只要符合以下任何条件之一：
  • 个人金融资产（减去相关负债）超过100万新元（或等值外币）；
  • 过去12个月的收入不低于30万新元（或等值外币）；
  • 个人净资产超过200万新元（或等值外币），其中个人主要住宅价值（扣除贷款）最多贡献100万新元。
只要符合以上条件中的任何一个，您就可以认证成为合格投资者，
开启更多投资机会：成为合格投资者，你将获得零售投资者无法得到的投资机会，接触到更广泛的投资品种，例如您可以投资一些结构性的产品，或者是在申购海外市场新股的业务，不用受到20万等值新币的申购金额限制。或者是市场上的一些只对专业投资者开放的基金。拥有这些多样化的投资选择，让你能够在各种市场状况下持续投资。
构建多元化投资组合：合格投资者还可以构建以主要货币（如新元、美元、欧元和英镑）计价和/或套期保值的投资组合。
另外有一些的保险产品，也需要有专业投资者才可以买，。有一些对于海外客户可远程签单的保险产品，也需要客户有专业投资者的认证。
 
当然您也可以或者继续当一名普通投资者。投资者必须明确表示同意才能被视为认可投资者。如果改变主意的话，选择成为专业投资者身份的，也可以撤回。这个选择机制，让投资者们既可以选择成为AI，拥有更多权利投资更多金融产品，或者选择放弃专业投资者身份，以获得更高级别的投资者保护。
