马来西亚人在新加坡买保险的8大常见问题（在新加坡生活的大马人的感想）

很多马来西亚人在新加坡工作赚3.5倍的汇率却忽略了最重要的保险。我在这里与大家分享我跟100位马来西亚客户聊天后总结的几个常见问题。其中也包括我（大马人）自己一开始来新加坡有的问题，很庆幸在进入保险行业之后都一一找到解答了。希望这篇文章对正在阅读的你有帮助！

保险分几种，这里我们主要谈到医疗住院险 (hospitalisation insurance)、重疾人寿险 (Life insurance with critical illness coverage) 和意外险 (personal accident insurance)。

 

  1. 我已经在马来西亚有medical card了，还需要在新加坡买住院险吗？

首先，医疗住院险通常是保障你在当地住院治疗时需要付的big hospital bills. 

如果你在新加坡工作或居住，突然身体不适需要入院，来不及开车/买飞机票回大马，你不需要担心这笔费用。

你就会想：“你也可以 claim 马来西亚的保险，也不需要担心这笔费用啊。”

虽然在新加坡治疗时可以向马来西亚的保险公司索赔，但他们通常只会按照在马来西亚进行同类治疗的费用以马币赔付。

例如，一笔SGD 60,000（～RM210,000）的住院费用，可能只能索赔到RM 60,000左右，差不多是三分之一的金额。剩下的差额需要由你自己承担哦。

（这样就花掉你来新加坡工作的积蓄了，违背存钱的初衷。为何呢？）

 

  1. 我是持有工作准证或学生准证的外国人，可以在新加坡买保险吗？

可以。你只要有合法身份（如EP、S-Pass、学生准证等）并在新加坡居住和新加坡的银行账户，可以购买住院险。

如果想买重疾人寿险，没有合法身份也是可以在新加坡购买和受保的（必须符合条规）。

 

  1. 新加坡公民、永久居民 (PR) 和工作准证持有者的保险选择有区别吗？

主要的保险都没有。但是，政府推出一些医疗政策帮助减轻公民和永久居民的住院险负担。那是利用他们的公积金 (CPF)来缴付他们一部分的住院险保费。

  1. 如果我以后回大马居住，新加坡的保单仍然有效吗？

一般来说，只要按时缴费，保单仍然有效。但要注意：住院险对与海外理赔或治疗有所限制。

还需跟你的保险经纪确认细节因为每份保险各有条规。

 

  1. 我在马来西亚已经有买保险了，跟新加坡的有什么不同？

通常马来西亚的保险是5-in-1，是 combo menu. 但是，新加坡的保险是一个一个分开的 ala-carte menu。所以你要看清楚你买的是什么保险，还有考虑汇率和货币强度。

马来西亚的5-in-1 保险包括：

(1) 重疾人寿险 (critical illness)

(2) 住院险 (hospitalisation/medical card)

(3) 意外险 （personal accident）

(4) 身故赔付（death benefit）

(5) 投资（investment）

这个5-in-1保险需要缴付终身的。你可以用保单里的现金价值 (cash value）来缴付一定期限的保费但不是一辈子。

新加坡的保险是根据你的需求配置给你，缴付保费的年限也有不同。有些是缴付特定期限，然后就保障一辈子。

 

  1. 如果我是没有新加坡合法身份的马来西亚人，可以买新加坡保险吗？还有如何支付保费？

可以买新加坡的保险。你也可以通过在新加坡开银行账户或马来西亚信用卡支付，有些保险公司也允许通过网上银行 (Internet banking) 或电汇 (Telegraphic Transfer) 支付完成缴费。

每家保险公司有不同的支付条规。在购买之前，需了解清楚。
