马来西亚人申请新加坡公民需注意的事项 (Singapore Citizenship Application for Malaysians)

根据最新统计，2023年大约有23,500人获得了新加坡公民身份。申请成为新加坡公民的条件是，申请者必须已经成为新加坡永久居民至少两年，并且年龄在21岁及以上。

我相信其中占大多数是马来西亚人，所以我在这里列下了一些大马人申请新加坡公民所需注意的事项。

申请的步骤：

  1. 到你自己的 SingPass 里面申请。申请后，需要等待12个月左右。
  2. 若要补交文件，可以发电邮至处理新加坡公民申请的 ICA Email: ica_citizenship_unit@ica.gov.sg
  3. 成功申请到后，你会收到一个地图告诉你整个过程。还有一个 ICA appointment date (若有需要，你是可以将其往后移的）

⚠️  注意事项！

Stage 2:

  • 马来西亚人一定要先预定大马大使馆的 appointment （最靠近的是两/三个月后）
  • 大马大使馆预定的链接点这里。选择第四个目的 Renunciation of Citizenship （就是放弃马来西亚公民的意思）。
  • 在这等待的两三个月内搞定这三件事：
    1. 参加 Singapore Experiential Visit 
    2. 参加 Community Sharing Session （最靠近的日期通常是一个月后）
    3. 做完线上 e-Journey （4-6个小时就可以做完）

Stage 3: 

  • 要确定 ICA formality date 必须是在大马大使馆的预约之后
  • 同时，你要准备上交给大马大使馆的资料（要回大马转移财产就要在这时段赶快完成）
  • 到大使馆上交资料后，就自动有新的 ICA formality date。要等三天后，才能在下午时间去拿大马大使馆的 approval letter. 
  • 带着这个 approval letter 去 ICA 做 formality. 
  • 完成 formality 的隔天可以在网上选择领取新加坡 IC 和护照的日期和地点 (通常是SingPost). 

在这里要多注意的是：

  • 大马大使馆每日早上的时间是提交资料的，下午的时间是领取approval letter 的。
  • 在上交资料给大马大使馆后，你就没有护照出门了，直到你拿新加坡护照。一定要看好你出门的日期。
  • 建议你先在网上下载黄色的 Borang K, 自己练习填过一遍。只可以用 black ink pen 填！原版的 Borang K 只能在大马大使馆拿和现场填。不可以提前拿回家填。若是填错，必须当场重新填过。

完成 ICA Formality 后，就恭喜你成为新加坡公民了！🥳🥳🥳

之后有ceremony的时候，你会被通知哦！

⏳ 总共需要的时间：

  • 半天：参加 Singapore Experiential Visit （通常在工作日）
  • 半天：参加 Community Sharing Session （通常是星期日早上）
  • 半天：自行完成 e-Journey 
  • 半天：到大马大使馆提交资料（工作日早上）
  • 半天：到大马大使馆获取approval letter （工作日下午）
  • 1个小时：到 ICA 完成 citizenship formality （通常是工作日）
  • 1个小时：到 SingPost 领取你的 IC & Passport （可以选择星期六早上）

注意： 处理在大马个人财产的时间因人而异。

预计需要2-3天的工作日来完成，得算好你的假期。
